Bhairwa is a small village of 6195 hectares in Jaisalmer Tehsil in Jaisalmer district, nicknamed ""The Golden city"" in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Bhairwa depends on JAISALMER, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Bhairwa is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Bhairwa's pin code is 345031[4], and village code is 02038600. The area of Bhairwa is segregated as 836.24 hectares irrigated area, 339.17 hectares unirrigated, the 4401.23 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 618 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jaisalmer to sell blanket and make their living.
