Betsy Ankney is an American Republican political consultant. She currently serves as the executive director of Stand for America PAC, Nikki Haley's political action committee.

Originally from Toledo, Ohio, Ankney attended Vanderbilt University, where she studied political science and business. [1] Between her junior and senior years of college, she worked for the host committee for the 2008 Republican National Convention. [2]

In 2009, she worked on Chris Christie's successful campaign in the 2009 New Jersey gubernatorial election.[2]

In 2010, she ran field offices for the Republican National Committee in the 2010 United States Senate special election in Massachusetts.[2]

In 2016, she served as campaign manager for Senator Ron Johnson (Wisconsin politician) in the 2016 United States Senate election in Wisconsin. In what was called a "stunning comeback victory," [3] she led the campaign to a win with a margin of nearly 100,000 votes. For her work on this race, the American Association of Political Consultants named her the "Campaign manager of the year." [4]

In 2018, she was the campaign manager for Bruce Rauner in the 2018 Illinois gubernatorial election. [1]

In 2020, she was named political director for the National Republican Senatorial Committee. In this role, she oversaw 35 US Senate races, including the 2021 Georgia runoff election.[5]

In 2021, former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley hired her to serve as executive director of Stand for America PAC, a political action committee that Haley formed to help support conservative candidates in the 2022 United States elections.[6]
