Beth Albright (born May 1, 1963) is an American novelist, actor and broadcaster. Albright is the author of 11 novels including 'The Sassy Belles' series, published by Harlequin/Mira. She also played a principal character on the NBC soap opera Days of Our Lives and was a radio talk show host. [1]

Early life and education

Albright was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Her father was killed in a car accident when she was four years old, leaving her 25-year-old mother a young widow with two children. Albright graduated from The University of Alabama in 1985 with a degree in Journalism and a minor in politics.[2]

Early career

Albright began her career in talk radio, hosting her own show at the age of 23. She hosted The Beth Albright Show at numerous radio stations around the country. In 1990, she later moved to Los Angeles and landed a recurring principal role as Mandy Cox on the NBC soap opera Days of Our Lives[3].[4]

Writing Career

In 2013, Albright signed a three book deal with Harlequin/Mira (a division of Harper Collins Publishing). Her books revolve around a tight-knit group of southern women. 'The Sassy Belles', 'Wedding Belles' and 'Sleigh Belles' were met with critical and professional success.Her books were featured in USA Today and 'The Sassy Belles' was listed as a top pick in the 2013 Deep South Magazine Summer Reading List. Albright continues to write novels and teach acting. She owns The Cedarburg Children's Theater in Cedarburg, Wisconsin. She produces, writes and directs full length productions for children. She is an active member of the Screen Actor's Guild/American Federation of Television and Radio Artists and Women in Film.
