BetConstruct is an Armenian technology provider for the online and land-based gambling industry. It develops and sells gambling hardware and software, offering products such as casino, poker, bingo, sports betting, virtual reality and skill games, fantasy sports, and eSports.
Overview
The company holds 39 gambling licenses and certificates from various Gaming control board and gambling authorities[2], such as the Malta Gaming Authority,MGA, the Gambling Commission,UKGC and the National Gaming Authority.
Programming and development are handled in Armenia[3][4], while the company's business headquarters are in London.
BetConstruct supplies gambling software and hardware to several industry players such as Betsson, STS, Partouche and BBIN.[5]
History
Origins
BetConstruct was founded in 2011 by Vigen Badalyan[6] and was unveiled during the EiG Congress and Expo in Milan.
The goal of the company was initially to provide its brand, VBET, with various gambling software, the in-house development was supposed to speed up otherwise "long-lasting, slow and bureaucratic procedures" according to the founder himself,[7] but after getting positive feedback from other industry players about their products the company started to look to expand outwards.
Expansion
Over the next year, further democratization of the Internet and various mobile devices assured the steady growth of the online gambling market. More and more players were looking for a way into the industry, an opportune time for BetConstruct to introduce their proprietary sportsbook platform, which was customizable (an important factor because of vastly different regional needs and legislations) and included several services and features that were not easily accessible to newcomers at that time, such as live games management by traders and automated tools for accurate odds tweaking. This platform enabled the company to reach a wider audience and gain popularity on the gambling scene, BetConstruct started getting attention from international companies[8][9][10][11]
By 2018 BetConstruct had already opened 16 international offices, acquiring several licenses key for its continued operation in Europe, the Americas and Asia.
The company currently has over 3000 employees, with its research and development staff totaling some 1000 people.
Products and Services
Products
BetConstruct develops sports betting products and casino games, while its services focus on providing data feed, turnkey and white-label software to other gambling operators. The company is also researching and developing AI-assisted solutions for the gambling industry, its main projects are Hoory a voice-activated gambling assistant,[12] AJNA an AI-based live scouting tool[13] and Umbrella, an AI-powered risk management tool designed to detect and manage players with unhealthy gambling habits, as well as potential cheating and abuse.
BetConstruct has also become a vendor of live casinos to online businesses and is now moving to the brick and mortar segment to help casinos start online operations from the ground up.[14]
Sports Betting
The provider is well-known in the industry for its sportsbook,[15] being their first in-house developed product, it was the main focus of the company for the first two years of its inception.

BetConstruct develops traditional (poker, roulette, black jack) and original games for its casino and Virtual sports portfolios. The company has also been experimenting with Virtual Reality. developing gambling-free VR experiences.[16]

Sponsoring and Partnerships
On February 6, 2019, English football club Arsenal named BetConstruct as its official gaming partner.[17] The same year, the provider announced that they would build a branded Live Casino hall for the Fashion TV Gaming Group (FTVGG)[18] a subsidiary of Fashion TV.
In mid-2020, BetConstruct and Sportwetten announced a new partnership[19] that will see the German bookmaker use the supplier’s Spring platform.
Awards and recognitions
BetConstruct has received several industry awards since its inception, most notably it was the 2019 recipient of the Technology Provider/Supplier award at the International Gaming Awards. It also won Innovation of the Year in Sportsbook and Casino for its voice-activated gaming assistant, Hoory, at the SBC Awards 2019.[20]
Sportradar lawsuit
In 2018, BetConstruct reached an agreement with Sportradar to settle legal proceedings issued in the High Court in London on 29 September 2017 against BetConstruct and two bookmakers in relation to their use of live tennis data from ITF events and tournaments. According to Sportrdar, 'the agreement reached also demonstrates that all parties to the proceedings are firmly committed to the integrity of the sports betting ecosystem.'[21]
