Besim Morina (born 19 February 1981) is a Kosovar pulmonologist, internist, and academic. Since 2 September 2025 he has served as the **Director of the Clinic of Pulmonology at the University Clinical Center of Kosovo (UCCK).[1] He is also an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Pristina[2] and the Executive Director of the Association of Pulmonologists of Kosovo (ASPUKO), a partner society of the European Respiratory Society (ERS).[3]
Early life and education
Morina was born in Ratkoc, Rahovec, Kosovo.[4] He studied medicine at the University of Pristina. He completed his specialization in pulmonology in 2015 and later earned a MSc in Health Management and a PhD in Medicine.[5]
Career
After completing specialization, Morina joined the Clinic of Pulmonology at UCCK as a consultant pulmonologist. In 2025 he was appointed Director of the Clinic of Pulmonology, the main tertiary respiratory care center in Kosovo.[1]
He also lectures at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Pristina.[2]

Morina’s research focuses on respiratory physiology, smoking-related lung disease, spirometry, tuberculosis, and pleural pathology. His peer-reviewed publications include:
