Bernio Enzo Verhagen (born 13 February 1994) is a Dutch football player who currently does not have a contract with any club. Bernio Verhagen have had a professional contract with several different football clubs but he has never played a professional match for a professional team.[1] It is believed that Bernio Verhagen has scammed four different professional clubs on three different continents into providing him with a professional contract.[2]
Bernio Verhagen is currently under investigation for having committed forgery and fraud against the Danish football club Viborg FF and attempted fraud against the Lyngby Boldklub.[3]
Club career
Early career
Bernio Verhagen was a player at Willem II which is a club in the Netherlands.[4]
Dinamo-Auto Tiraspo
In 2019 Bernio Verhagen signed a contract with Dinamo-Auto Tiraspo in Moldova even though Bernio Verhagen was an amateur football player. Bernio Verhagen never played any matches for Dinamo-Auto Tiraspo.[5]
Cape Town City FC
After Bernio Verhagen's stay with Dinamo-Auto Tiraspo, Bernio Verhagen moved to Cape Town City FC in South Africa. However, Bernio Verhagen only stayed with the club for approximately one month. Bernio Verhagen never played any matches for Cape Town City FC.[6]
Cape Town City FC was recommended to sign Bernio Verhagen by a person who claimed to be the famous Dutch agent Mo Sinouh from Stellar Group.[7]
Audax Italiano
Bernie Verhagen did not play any matches for the Chilean club Audax Italiano and only stayed with the club for one month. Bernio Verhagen has claimed that he was the target of racism by team members at the club.[8]
Viborg FF
On 5 November 2019 Viborg FF presented Bernio Verhagen as a new player. Viborg's sporting director Jesper Fredberg said that Bernio Verhagen was an extremely fast and agresive player.[9] In November 2019, Viborg FF admitted that they had never seen Bernio Verhagen play before signing him. On 26 November 2019 Viborg FF stated in a press release that the club had cancelled the contract with Bernio Verhagen by mutual agreement and that the club had reported the matter to the police. Similar to Cape Town City FC, Viborg FF had been approached by a person who claimed to be Mo Sinouh from Stellar Group. Furthermore Viborg FF had been informed that that Bernio Verhagen could be resold after a short period of time to a Chinese club with profit.[10]
Bernio Verhagen did not play any matches during his time with Viborg FF.
Private life
Bernie Verhagen is a Dutch citizen. Bernio Verhagen has a daughter in Denmark.[11]
On 24 June 2020, Bernio Verhagen was convicted for violence and robbery and was sent to jail for one year and 3 months and will be deported from Denmark.[12]
