Benjamin Sokomba Dazhi (also known as BennyDee; born February 15, 1988) is a Nigerian animator, video director, editor and cinematographer. He is the creator and director of the Cartoon Network Africa animated dance series, the CN Dance Challenge.[1] He is best known for his 3D animations and has a publication on how to go pro with 3D animations using iclone.[2] He has also worked with the renowned Nigerian video director Akin Alabi on the animated movie, The Legend of Oronpoto.[3][4][5]
In September 2021, Benjamin partnered with Cartoon Network to bring the new animated series CN Dance Challenge, which premieres October 2, 2021.[6] The show is all about teaching kids different African-inspired dance routines from two super-talented animated dance instructors, Anwuli and Kingsley. Episodes will also feature surprise battle with either Anwuli or Kingsley and a kid who managed to crack the dance from the week before in their own unique style.[7][8]
