Benedict Michael Sheppard FIET FIED (born August 1985) is a British engineering and design leader.[1][2][3][4][5]. He is a partner for consulting firm McKinsey & Company, where he co-founded McKinsey Design[6][7][8][9]. His group's research has focused on the business value of design[10][11][12][13], including design leadership[14] and design organization[15], and has won awards including a Red Dot[16].

Sheppard co-founded and chairs[17] Design for Good [18], a global non-profit alliance comprising General Mills, Logitech, LIXIL, McKinsey & Company, Microsoft led by Xbox, Nedbank, Nestlé, PepsiCo, Philips, and the Royal College of Art[19]. Designers from the companies work together to make new products and services to aid the United Nation’s Sustainable Development goals[20][21]. For Dezeen's[22] 2023 Design Awards[23], Sheppard was among the esteemed panel of judges [24], identifying the world's best architecture, interiors, design and sustainability projects, as well as the studios and the individual architects and designers producing the most outstanding work [25].
