Beckwith (born Jon Paul Walton) is a UK based R&B music artist who has scored two Top 40 UK Hits and numerous R&B hits.[1]

You're That Kind of Girl

On 11 November 2008 Beckwith released "You're that Kind of Girl", which recieved national airplay, was awarded BBC 1xtra 'Single of the Week', No.1 on the iTunes independent R&B charts and No.99 on the Billboard R&B charts.

In 2020, "You're That Kind of Girl", remixed by Jimmy Antony, reached No.29 on the Official UK charts and Number 2 in the UK R&B charts, held off the number one spot by The Weeknd 'Blinding Lights'. The song features M.C. Brains the Gold selling rapper from Motown Records.[2]

In the 2020 Year End December issue of UK Black Music publication Blues & Soul 'You're That Kind of Girl' was rated number 4 in the Best R&B record of the year category.[3]

Be There

On 1 October 2009 Beckwith released "Be There".

To follow up the success of 'You're That Kind of Girl' B.K.W.H released another Jimmy Antony remix of his song 'Be There' in 2021 which entered the UK Charts at number 38 and number 2 on the R&B charts, again held off the number one spot by The Weeknd's 'Blinding Lights'. This time, his song featured the multi-platinum Def Squad member Keith Murray.[4] This song also featured in the 2021 Blues & Soul Best R&B song category. This song had been released 5 years previously and featured Sadat X from the Hip Hop group Brand Nubian.

Soulful Women

In June 2020, B.K.W.H re-released and updated his 2011 R&B Hit Soulful Women which hit number 10 in the UK R&B charts and went Top 100 in the iTunes Pop charts.

Before B.K.W.H

Whilst recording under Jon-Paul in the late 90s and 00's B.K.W.H worked with Marvin Ambrosius, Marsha Ambrosius, J Dilla and Daron Jones from 112 (band). He scored minor success with his single 'Rain' which can still be found on many Digital Retail sites. CD singles of the track are considered very rare and usually sell for upwards of £50.

B.K.W.H was on the Summer Cover of legendary Black Music magazine in 2022.

B.K.W.H scored another top #2 R&B chart hit with his single 'Everyday' which features Big Noyd (Mobb Deep, Mariah Carey).
