Basri is a small village of 11 hectares in Jaipur Tehsil in Jaipur district, also known as the Pink City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Basri depends on Jaipur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, which is 3.23% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Basri is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Basri's pin code is 302026[4], and village code is 01558800. The area of Basri is segregated as 3.23 hectares irrigated area, 0.64 hectares unirrigated, remaining 7.12 hectare area not available for cultivation.
