Basni Danwara is a small village of 2567 hectares in Osian Tehsil in Jodhpur district, also known as the Blue City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Basni Danwara depends on Jodhpur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Basni Danwara is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Basni Danwara's pin code is 342037[4], and village code is 01942000. The area of Basni Danwara is segregated as 663.63 hectares irrigated area, 1257.69 hectares unirrigated, the 49.27 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 596.19 hectare area not available for cultivation.
