Basit Ali Rajput is a Kashmir based singer, poet, lyricist and a tik tok star. An independent musician and a known poet, Basit hails from Srinagar district of Jammu and Kashmir. In 2019, Basit released his first studio recorded album which "Haqeeqat".[1]
Biography
Basit was born on June 18, 1998 in a middle-class family of Hawal, Srinagar. Basit's father, Mohammad Iqbal Rather is a businessman. He did his schooling from Greenland School, Srinagar upto 12th grade. Basit at present is persuing MBA from Kashmir University.[2]
Career
In 2019, Basit came up with his first studio recorded album, Haqeeqat. Within days, the song went viral all over social media and got a positive response. In 2020, he released his second song Janiya. However, his second song didn't get much response and is counted among flop songs.
