Basiathuni is a small village of 1096 hectares in Sujangarh Tehsil in Churu district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Basiathuni depends on LADNU, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Basiathuni is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Basiathuni's pin code is 331518[4], and village code is 00659800. The area of Basiathuni is segregated as 40.2 hectares irrigated area, 961.15 hectares unirrigated, the 71.93 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 22.98 hectare area not available for cultivation.
