Baseball, Dennis & the French in a 2011 documentary film[1][2] directed by Paul Croshaw.[3] The film traces the story of a longtime liberal activist, who after years of listening to nationally renowned radio personality Dennis Prager became a churchgoing, conservative Christian.[4][5][6]

The documentary premiered on 4 May 2011 in the United States[7] and was distributed by Claire Annette Media Arts.[8] The movie is regarded as one of the leading political biographies of the time, with strong elements and references to cultural and existential crises prevailing in America.[9] With a running time of 1h 30m Baseball, Dennis & the French received a 95% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes and an 8.1 rating on IMDb.[10][11]

Plot

The movie revolves around Paul Croshaw, an Atheist, and a liberal activist - tracing the minute details of his life entwined with multiple grand themes prevalent in the typical American society at large.[12][13] The film roughly depicts the decline of Judeo-Christian principles in American culture and the consequences, which result in the loss of the country's characteristic joy and unique character as a benevolent force in a gloomy world.[14][15]

All this unfolds as Paul connects on a deeper level with his spiritual mentor, Dennis Prager,[16] and examines his life at large.[17] Depending upon God to find clarity in a chaotic world - Paul The Atheist lastly becomes a devout Christian, having found solace in the Christian principles.[18][19] The film also utilizes archived historical and old family footage, as well as recent additions, to create a cohesive biography that is both comic and enlightening.[20][21]
