Basai Chauhan is a small village of 247 hectares in Bansur Tehsil in Alwar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Basai Chauhan depends on BEHROR, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 31.88% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Basai Chauhan is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Basai Chauhan's pin code is 301412[4], and village code is 00865800. The area of Basai Chauhan is segregated as 130.88 hectares irrigated area, 100 hectares unirrigated, the 5 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 11 hectare area not available for cultivation.
