Bas Dayal is a small village of 339 hectares in Bansur Tehsil in Alwar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Bas Dayal depends on KOTPUTLI, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 29.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Bas Dayal is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Bas Dayal's pin code is 301024[4], and village code is 00875900. The area of Bas Dayal is segregated as 74 hectares irrigated area, 192 hectares unirrigated, the 54 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 19 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of KOTPUTLI and Alwar to sell rope making and make their living.
