Barsam is a small village of 1419 hectares in Sanchore Tehsil in Jalor district, also known as Granite City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Barsam depends on SANCHORE, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 400.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Barsam is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Barsam's pin code is 343041[4], and village code is 02331800. The area of Barsam is segregated as 1081 hectares irrigated area, 161 hectares unirrigated, the 177 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves).

Barsam is a census village in the district of Jalor, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2782 and has total administration over 469 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of SANCHORE and Jalor to sell ghee and make their living.
