Barodiya is a small village of 384 hectares in Jhalrapatan Tehsil in Jhalawar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Barodiya depends on Jhalrapatan, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 175.09% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Barodiya is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Barodiya's pin code is 326021[4], and village code is 04014300. The area of Barodiya is segregated as 175.09 hectares irrigated area, 1.9 hectares unirrigated, the 38.81 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 17.76 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jhalrapatan and Jhalawar to sell ghee and make their living.
