Barni is a small village of 651 hectares in Asind Tehsil in Bhilwara district, also known as the Textile City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Barni depends on Asind, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 53.53% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Barni is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Barni's pin code is 311204[4], and village code is 02789300. The area of Barni is segregated as 213.8 hectares irrigated area, 107.42 hectares unirrigated, the 181.51 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 147.91 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Asind and Bhilwara to sell earthen pot and make their living.
