Barla is a small village of 1040 hectares in Baytoo Tehsil in Barmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Barla depends on BALOTRA, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Barla is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Barla's pin code is 344034[4], and village code is 02135300. The area of Barla is segregated as 1033 hectares unirrigated, remaining 7 hectare area not available for cultivation.
