Barkhera is a small village of 436 hectares in Kishanganj Tehsil in Baran district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Barkhera depends on Antah, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 8.18% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, One canal and Two springs. Barkhera is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Barkhera's pin code is 325216[4], and village code is 03866100. The area of Barkhera is segregated as 337.14 hectares irrigated area, 29.68 hectares unirrigated, the 41.78 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 27.65 hectare area not available for cultivation.
