Barkhera is a small village of 708 hectares in Karauli Tehsil in Karauli district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Barkhera depends on KARAULI, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 70.18% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Barkhera is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Barkhera's pin code is 322241[4], and village code is 01232500. The area of Barkhera is segregated as 146.32 hectares irrigated area, 169.97 hectares unirrigated, the 133.1 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 52.61 hectare area not available for cultivation.
