Baray is a small village of 1005 hectares in Jhalrapatan Tehsil in Jhalawar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Baray depends on Bakani, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 365.65% of the total supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Baray is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tanker. Baray's pin code is 326022[4], and village code is 04032800. The area of Baray is segregated as 433.97 hectares irrigated area, 128.15 hectares unirrigated, the 303.37 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 139.85 hectare area not available for cultivation.
