Barani is a small village of 1991 hectares in Nagaur Tehsil in Nagaur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Barani depends on Nagaur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Barani is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tanker. Barani's pin code is 341001[4], and village code is 01803500. The area of Barani is segregated as 1883 hectares unirrigated, the 60 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 48 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Barani is a census village in the district of Nagaur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2439 and has total administration over 455 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.
