Bara Asan is a small village of 271 hectares in Masuda Tehsil in Ajmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Bara Asan depends on Vijainagar, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 11.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Bara Asan is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Bara Asan's pin code is 305901[4], and village code is 02546800. The area of Bara Asan is segregated as 29 hectares irrigated area, 145 hectares unirrigated, the 18 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 79 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Vijainagar and Ajmer to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
