Balkundi Kalan is a small village of 825 hectares in Rawatbhata Tehsil in Chittorgarh district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Balkundi Kalan depends on Ratangarh (M.P.), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Balkundi Kalan is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Balkundi Kalan's pin code is 312023[4], and village code is 03581100. The area of Balkundi Kalan is segregated as 159.2 hectares irrigated area, 20.46 hectares unirrigated, the 225 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 32.5 hectare area not available for cultivation.
