Bakra is a small village of 1632 hectares in Jhunjhunu Tehsil in Jhunjhunu district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Bakra depends on Jhunjhunu, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 442.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Bakra is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Bakra's pin code is 333001[4], and village code is 00693100. The area of Bakra is segregated as 442 hectares irrigated area, 1026 hectares unirrigated, the 104 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 60 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jhunjhunu to sell wood furniture and make their living.
