Bakasar is a small village of 1681 hectares in Shergarh Tehsil in Jodhpur district, also known as the Blue City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Bakasar depends on Phalodi, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Bakasar is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Bakasar's pin code is 345021[4], and village code is 01971500. The area of Bakasar is segregated as 107 hectares irrigated area, 1533 hectares unirrigated, the 16.27 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 25 hectare area not available for cultivation.
