BRAC Healthcare Limited is an outpatient healthcare enterprise based in Dhaka, Bangladesh.[1] It is operated by BRAC Enterprises, the social-enterprise arm of the development organisation BRAC_(organisation).[2]
History
The company launched its first centre in the Mirpur (Kazipara) area of Dhaka in March 2023.[3] It opened an additional branch in the Siddheswari neighbourhood in October 2024.[4] A fourth centre was opened in Badda (Gulshan-Badda Link Road) in October 2025.[5]
Services
The company provides outpatient medical consultations, dental care[6], diagnostics (laboratory and imaging), physiotherapy, model pharmacies[7], and wellness services. These services are part of an urban-outpatient model of healthcare delivery in Bangladesh.
Governance and ownership
BRAC Healthcare is managed under the umbrella of BRAC Enterprises, which is itself part of BRAC.[8]
Model pharmacies
BRAC Healthcare operates a clinic-linked pharmacy model that integrates primary care services with on-site medicine dispensing. Building on its rural healthcare experience, BRAC has introduced urban model pharmacies directly connected to clinics. Patients receive consultations, basic diagnostic tests, and prescribed medicines at a single location. The model emphasises trusted medicines, appropriate clinical guidance, and patient-friendly services, supported by digital health records, online ordering, and home delivery.[9]
