BK8 is a licensed online gambling brand founded in 2014. Since inception, BK8 has partnered with English Premier League club, Crystal Palace F.C.; English Football League clubs, Burnley F.C. and Huddersfield Town F.C.; LaLiga clubs[1] such as Villarreal CF,[2] Athletic Club, Valencia CF,[3] Elche CF and RCD Mallorca. It has partnered with athletes such as John Terry, Robin Van Persie, Kelly Smith & Faye White as brand ambassadors.[4]

History

In 2015, the company launched the BK8 sports provider. It hosts over 90 sports categories with live sports matches available for betting on a daily basis.

In 2016, BK8 collaborated with Evolution Gaming, which is a pioneer online casino provider.

In 2017, the company partnered with IM E-Sports, which is the number one E-Sportsbook provider.[5]

In 2020, BK8 enabled cryptocurrency as the payment method for better security and privacy and launched the Leaderboard program.

In 2021, BK8 announced itself as the Official Betting Partner for 5 Spanish Football Teams.

Sponsorships

In 2018, BK8 announced John Terry, the former Chelsea captain and English footballer as its brand ambassador.[6][7]

BK8 also entered a three-year deal with La Liga in 2018, the Spanish professional football team as the “Official Betting Partner”.[8]

In 2019, BK8 signed Robin Van Persie, former Netherlands and Manchester United top scorer, as their new brand ambassador.[9][10]

In 2021, BK8 introduced Kelly Smith as their first female brand ambassador.[11] This partnership marks the first in the world partnership of a betting brand with a female ambassador.[12]

In 2022, Faye White, former England captain and Arsenal WFC captain was named as their brand ambassador, with the vision to encourage and inspire more female footballers.

BK8 signed as “Official Training Wear Partner” & “Official Betting Partner” for Burnley Football Club in 2022.[13]

English Premier League Club, Crystal Palace announced BK8 as its “Official Betting Partner” for the 2022-2023 season.[14][15]

Further in 2022, BK8 extends its partnership with Huddersfield Town Football Club as “Official Global Partner” and “Primary Shirt Sponsor”.[16][17][18] The brand would be displayed on the Home Kit T-shirt of the club’s women team.

Licensing

BK8 in the UK is operated by TGP Europe Limited, licensed by The Gambling Commission of Great Britain (under the Gambling Act 2005).[19]

Philanthropy

Announcing Kelly Smith as their brand ambassador, BK8 donated to “We Mind Kelly Matters”, a charitable fund founded by Kelly Smith that assists individuals suffering from mental health challenges.[20][21] BK8 also contributed £15,000 to Burnley FC in the Community charity fund and support #HerGameToo financially.[22][23]

After announcing partnership with Faye White, BK8 contributed a £30,000 charitable donation to demonstrate the long-term commitment to empower women through local football projects, while providing vital support to mental health and wellness groups in local communities.
