B. H.. Abdul Hameed is an internationally renowned Sri Lankan Tamil announcer, radio, stage and film actor, born in Colombo. He worked as an announcer for Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation for a long time. Ameet has been invited to participate in programs in Tamil diaspora countries like India, Singapore and Dubai.

Early life

Abdul Hameed was born the fourth son of Hasan and Hasia Umma in the suburb of Dematagoda, Colombo. His three elder brothers are brothers. When he was three and a half years old, his father passed away. His mother would make kadayappam and he would carry it and sell it..[1]

He did his primary education at Themattagoda Tamil Maha Vidyalaya. There he b. He learned Tamil from Ponnuthurai and Pandit Sivalingam. He started acting in plays when he was in school. In 1960, at Vivekananda Sabha Mandapam, Colombo, he acted in the play Veerapandiya Kattabomman to the acclaim of Ladis Veeramani.

When he was a boy, he participated in Sri Lankan Radio's children's flower programs, and then b. He participated in the production of Rajaiya's program and also participated in youth council programs. During this period he was selected as a radio station artiste. There were opportunities to produce and voice over plays and skits for youth council and educational service programs. He was appointed as a radio announcer at the age of eighteen. With him S. Natarajasivam, Joachim Fernando, Karada Anandraj, Rajeshwari Shanmugam were also selected. He established himself as a newsreader, interview commentator, program producer and theater artist.

During his tenure as an announcer in the commercial service of Sri Lanka Radio, he has produced and presented numerous programs in the commercial service and the national service. His dramas have been broadcast on both services.

He acted in the Sri Lankan film Komalikal and has established his influence in South Indian cinema as well. K. S. He was featured in Ravikumar's "Denali" and Mani Ratnam's "Kannathil Muthamittal".

Silver Festival Artist

In 1990, his art world friends S. Ramdas, S. Selvasekaran, R. Rajagopal, K. S. Balachandran and celebrated the silver jubilee.
