Azizi Developments is a property development company located in the United Arab Emirates in Dubai owned by Mirwais Azizi. He currently serves as the chairman of Azizi Group of companies which was founded in 1989 with developments across realty, banking, investment, and hospitality sectors [1]. He featured in the list of "Arabian Business 100 Inspiring leaders in the Middle East" in March 2018 [2].
Azizi has over 54 ongoing projects that will be delivered by 2023, and another 130+ in planning that are projected to be delivered by 2025 [3]. Currently, Azizi Developments has more than 200 projects under various stages of development with a current portfolio worth more than AED 45 billion [4].
History
2007–2013
Azizi Developments was founded in 2007 in Dubai as the arm of Azizi Group, which is headed by Chairman Mirwais Azizi [5]. In 2009, Azizi Developments signed an agreement with the developer Nakheel to build the Al Furjan Community project's developments [6]. The project will include 4,000 houses, apartments, hotels and commercial & mixed use plots [7].
2007–Present
In February 2016, Azizi Developments announced the launching of the $1.23 billion Royal Bay Residence project on the Palm Jumeirah, which includes 90 serviced luxury residential apartments situated on the crescent of Palm Jumeirah [8].
In October 2016, Azizi Developments completed the official handover of the Yasamine, Feirouz, Orchid, Liatris of Al Furjan’s development project, and launched its first Dubai Healthcare City project, Azizi Aliyah [9]. In the same year, Azizi Developments won the Developer of the Year award at the Construction Innovation Awards Middle East 2016 [10].
The Azizi Victoria multiphase community project was launched in 2017, located in Mohammed bin Rashid City|Mohammed Bin Rashid City, District 7. The project is set to include 30,000 residential units in a British lifestyle [11].
Azizi Developments won its fourth Developer of the Year at the Construction Innovation Awards ME 2018 and received the Developer of the Year award from Entrepreneur during its 2018 Enterprise Agility Awards as a major private developer in the UAE [12].
In 2019, Azizi Developments won the ‘Best Developer of The Year’ at Arabian Business Real Estate Awards 2019 [13][14][15]. Azizi Developments officially inaugurated Aliyah in Dubai Healthcare City in the same year [16][17].
In January 2020, Azizi Developments announced the completion of Samia, its residential and commercial development in Al Furjan [18]. After The completion of Samia, Azizi Developments announced the completion of Farishta in Al Furjan in February 2020 [19][20].
