Awar is a small village of 161 hectares in Pachpahar Tehsil in Jhalawar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Awar depends on Bhawani Mandi, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 4.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Awar is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Awar's pin code is 326512[4], and village code is 04092900. The area of Awar is segregated as 7.35 hectares irrigated area, 13.16 hectares unirrigated, the 30.27 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 109.77 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Bhawani Mandi and Jhalawar to sell ghee and make their living.
