Avraham Kaldor (Lua error in package.lua at line 80: module 'strict' not found.; born 20 May 1947) is an Israeli chess FIDE titles (1975), Israeli Chess Championship medalist (1971), Chess Olympiad individual medalist (20th Chess Olympiad).

Biography

Avraham Kaldor was multiple participant of Israeli Chess Championship. His best result - 2nd place in 1971. In 1976 he shared 1st-2nd place with Itchak Radashkovich in Netanya chess tournament.[1]

Avraham Kaldor played for Israel in the Chess Olympiad:[2]

  • In 1972, at fourth board in the 20th Chess Olympiad in Skopje (+10, =5, -1) and won individual silver medal.

Avraham Kaldor played for Israel in the European Team Chess Championship preliminaries:[3]

  • In 1977, at eight board in the 6th European Team Chess Championship preliminaries (+1, =1, -0).

Avraham Kaldor played for Israel in the World Student Team Chess Championship:[4]

  • In 1971, at fourth board in the 18th World Student Team Chess Championship in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico (+4, =2, -1).

In 1975, Avraham Kaldor was awarded the FIDE International Master (IM) title.
