Aurangzeb Naqshbandi is an Indian journalist. He is known for his reporting on conflict zones, especially in Jammu and Kashmir.[1] He writes for Moneycontrol.com,[2] Deccan Herald,[3] Hindustan Times,[4] and Mint.[5]
Career
In 2012, the government of Jammu and Kashmir recognized him for his work in journalism.[6]
In October 2013, he was part of a media team that traveled with the Prime Minister to Brunei Darussalam and Indonesia.[7]
Pegasus Spyware Controversy
Naqshbandi was mentioned in the Pegasus spyware controversy. His name appeared on a list of journalists and individuals who were reportedly targeted or possibly targeted for surveillance by clients of the NSO Group's Pegasus Spyware.[8][9][10][11]
