Augusto Ichisato (Passo Fundo, Date table sorting|1985|April|18) is a brazilian jiujitsu fighter, he fights on a heavy weight class on International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation.
Career
Augusto began his first jiu-jitsu training at the age of 27 in 2012, in the back of an ice cream shop, taught by his younger brother, blue belt Ricardo Ichisato. Although the ice cream shop went out of business, his jiu-jitsu journey continued. His first Brazilian jiu-jitsu school was with black belt Vinicius Maximo in Araraquara, São Paulo, Brazil.
In 2022, Augusto received his black belt from Master Luiz Guilherme "Guigo.".[1]
International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation
In 2016, Augusto made his debut in the IBJJF, securing second place in the South American Jiu-Jitsu Championship in the Master 1, blue belt, middle-heavyweight category.
In 2018, Augusto won the Pan IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu Championship in the Master 1, purple belt, heavyweight category[2]. In the same year, he became the champion of the 2018 Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Championship in the Master 1, purple belt, heavyweight category[3], and secured second place in the 2018 South American Jiu-Jitsu Championship in the same division[4].
In 2022, Augusto won the São Paulo International Open IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu Championship in the Master 2, brown belt, absolute category, and placed third in the heavyweight category in the same championship[5]
Personal Life
Augusto is a Food Engineer, having graduated from Universidade Estadual Paulista (Unesp) in December 2007.
