August Broos (born 25 August 1995) is an actor and model from Austria. He is known for film like Y2K, I Remembered That I Have Free Will, When Walter Meets Frau May Wong and many more.

Early Life

August was born on 25 August 1995 in Linz. Broos ancestors are from Transylvania, Hungary and Austria. He first acted for theater at the early age of eight.[1] Since then he performed on Austrian theater stages such as Steyrer Volksbühne, Landestheater Linz, Stadttheater Klagenfurt and many more. [2] August went to study Media and Communications at Alpen Adria University and Theater Film and Media at University of Vienna. Broos lived in New York City where he trained Acting for Film at New York Film Academy. At the same time he trained Meisner Acting with Emmy Award winner Blanche Baker.

Career

August Broos made his stage debut early at the age of eight by playing Robin Hood [3] and continued stage acting his childhood in Austria. After moving to New York City he made his film debut 2022 with the short- and fashion film I Remembered That I Have Free Will. The short film won the Bauhaus Film Initiative Award and 2nd place of the Summer Reel Audience Award at The Bauhaus Film Awards 2023. [4] August played artist Heiner in When Walter Meets Frau May Wong and starred in Y2K right before the 2023 Screen Actors Guild strike. During that time the played roles in several music videos as for Kpop band Aespa, Lauralie's GREY and The Thing's Country Song II.[5]
