Atul Hegde is an Indian entrepreneur, investor and a pioneer in digital marketing.
He and his partner Sudhir Menon started India’s first fund that wholly caters to the digital media ecosystem, Rainmaker Ventures. Their investment portfolio includes companies like YAAP, Oplifi, Mellora and Easyplan to name a few.
Atul published India’s first Digital Handbook, along with his team at Ignitee Solutions, by the name ‘Honey, I Shrunk The World’
Atul Hegde was born and brought up in Mumbai, India.
Atul Hegde has 25 years of experience in Advertising, Brand Identity Design, Digital Marketing and Venture Funding. He has built companies across India, South East Asia and the Middle East.
Atul is the co-founder of Rainmaker Ventures where he works with startups in the digital media and content space with a focus on technology and creativity.
He was the CEO of Ignitee Solutions before becoming an entrepreneur. He has also worked at Euro RSCG, Vyas Giannetti Creative and To The New. Some of the brands he has worked with include Philips, Air France, Maruti Suzuki, Tata, Aditya Birla Group and ITC Hotels, among others.
Atul has been a Member of the Digital Media Committee of Industry bodies like the Internet And Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) He has also been on the Jury & Advisory board for the Indian Digital Media Awards. He has advised some of the largest digital marketing initiatives of the Government of India including Make In India, Start Up India and Incredible India.
The recognition and awards received by Atul Hegde are Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, ABBY Awards, Effie Award, Indian Digital Marketing Awards, IMPACT Top 100 ‘Digital Professional of the Year’, World Brand Congress Award for ‘Best Digital Marketing Professional’ and ‘Digital Marketing Entrepreneur of the Year’.
