History
Atelier Paulin was established in 2014. The company manufactures jewelry using a technique where a single strand of precious metal wire (18-karat gold, 925 silver, or gold-filled) is hand-shaped into letters or motifs without soldering. The brand initially gained visibility in 2015 through distribution at the Parisian concept store Colette.[1]
The company later expanded its retail presence to the United States. In February 2017, to structure its American operations, the company established a US subsidiary, Atelier Paulin Corp, registered in Florida.[2]
This structural expansion was followed by the opening of a standalone boutique in New York City's West Village in December 2018. This opening was noted in industry publications such as Women's Wear Daily[3] and mentioned in The New York Times.[4]
In July 2025, following a restructuring period, the Commercial Court of Paris validated the company's business continuation plan.[5]
Craftsmanship
Atelier Paulin's technique involves hand-shaping precious metal wire (18-karat gold, 925 silver, or gold-filled wire) using pliers. Each piece is formed from a continuous wire without the use of molds or industrial casting.
