Asu is a small village of 546 hectares in Bidhuna Tehsil in Auraiya district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Asu depends on Dibiyapur (NP) , the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers,Two canals and Two springs. Asu is also surrounded byTwo lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Asu's pin code is 206244[4], and village code is 04125900. The area of Asu is segregated as 440.33 hectares irrigated area, 8.6 hectares unirrigated area. the 55.18 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 42.26 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Asu is a census village in the district of Auraiya, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 3060 and has total administration over 565 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Dibiyapur (NP) and Auraiya to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
