Ashraf Khamayisi is an Egypt storyteller and Novelist, born in Luxor, 1967. He works as an editor for Althaqafa Aljadidah (New Culture) magazine.

Khamayisi has three story collections:

- Riḥlāt Ghayr ‘Ādīyah, a four part series.
Awards
He won first prize in a short story competition for writers from all over the Arab world, organised by the newspaper Akhbar al-Adab for his story “The Four Wheels of the Hand-Pushed Cart". His novel " God's Land of Exile " made it to the long list of the International Prize for Arabic Fiction in 2014, while "Sharp Turning" long-listed for the Sheikh Zayed Book Award in 2015.
