Ashley Maietta (born May 9, 1991) is an American singer, songwriter, A&R, and music manager based in Los Angeles, CA.

Career

Beginnings

Ashley began her career working with New Heights Entertainment,[1] a management company owned and run by UK-born publisher and manager, Alan Melina.[2] The company represented a number of producers and songwriters, among those was RedOne,[2] a multi-platinum producer/songwriter responsible for creating hits for Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj, Jennifer Lopez, and others.[3] She served as the company's A&R and Marketing Manager.[1]

Founding of the Band: Luci

In 2015, Ashley joined musicians McKail Seely and Ariana Tibi to form the female trio, Luci.[4] The LA-based Folk / Pop group opened for and toured with Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo,[5] Raelynn, Tyler Farr, Justin Moore,[6] and REO Speedwagon.[7]

Present

Ashley currently works as the A&R and Publishing Manager for M2V / Crooked Paintings,[8] a boutique record label and publishing company owned and operated by producer / songwriters Emanuel Kiriakou and E. Kidd Bogart.[9][10] She and the company collectively represent MKTO, FRND, Jessica Ashley, Annabel Jones, and more.[9]

In the beginning of 2020, Ashley, along with her partners Ari Herstand and Andrew Leib, founded the UnCancelled Music Festival in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.[8] The festival was a multi-week, live-streamed event via the platform, Stage-It, that featured hundreds of artists including: Colbie Caillat, Betty Who, Waxahatchee, Beach Bunny (band), Kevin Garrett (musician), Mary Lambert (singer), Cautious Clay, JP Saxe, David Ryan Harris, and others.[11] Venues like Hotel Café and Rockwood Music Hall were booking partners.[11] The proceeds from the festival were directed to the artists, venues, and to the festival's charity partner, MusiCares (the The Recording Academy philanthropic organization), which developed a COVID-19 Relief Fund for musicians.[8]

Ashley also managers singer-songwriter, Gavyn Bailey, and is a frequent creative collaborator (along with producer Trevor Muzzy) with him on his songs, including one of his singles, "Numb Me, Bad".[12]

In June 2020, Ashley and her band, Luci, released a single called, "Watch It Rise", donating proceeds from the song to The Loveland Foundation and The Precious Kids Center in Kenya.[4]
