Ashish Monu Awasthi, also known as Monu Awasthi or Ashish Awasthi (born 13 August 1987, Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh), is an Indian politician. He is currently a member of the Indian National Congress in Chhattisgarh, and is currently Vice President of Chhattisgarh Youth Congress[1].[2]

Politics
Awasthi, who hails from a non-political middle-class family, started his political career as a NSUI member during his college days at C.V.R.U., Bilaspur. Later he became vice president of the Chhattisgarh Indian Youth Congress[6] followed by positions at district level and state level. During the COVID-19 pandemic in India he set up facilities to help migrant workers, emergency supplies of essential drugs and oxygen. He volunteers in Bilaspur for COVID-19 relief.[7]
Awasthi contested for the post of President in Chhattisgarh Youth Congress, he was defeated by Akash Sharma and got second position as a Vice President of the Youth Congress representing the Chhattisgarh in 2022 Youth Congress Election.[8][9]
