Ashish Chanchlani (born December 8, 1993) is an Indian YouTuber, actor, writer, and digital influencer known for his comedy channel on YouTube named Ashish Chanchlani Vines. With over 30 million subscribers and 4.69 billion views on his channel, Chanchlani has established a significant digital footprint. Notably, he received recognition for his work, winning the Bollywood Life Social Media Award for Most Popular Comedian in 2022 and 2023.[2][3]
Early life and education
Chanchlani was born on December 9, 1993, in Ulhasnagar, Maharashtra, India, to Deepa and Anil Chanchlani. He has a younger sister, Muskan Chanchlani. His father is the owner of a movie theater in Ulhasnagar. Chanchlani pursued civil engineering and graduated from the Datta Meghe College of Engineering, Mumbai.
Chanchlani briefly managed his father's “Ashok Anil” multiplex. He had a passion for acting, which led him to enroll at the Barry John Acting Studio. During his engineering studies, he discovered a love for comedy videos on YouTube, inspiring him to create comedic content, which he initially shared on Facebook and Instagram.
Career
Chanchlani launched his YouTube channel, "Ashish Chanchlani Vines," in 2014. Initially sharing videos across various social media platforms, he eventually dedicated himself entirely to his channel. By the end of 2018, his channel had amassed 8.7 million subscribers. Chanchlani became one of India's fastest-growing YouTubers, reaching 10 million subscribers. His channel currently boasts 30.3 million subscribers and over four billion views.[4][5]
Chanchlani's content often parodies Indian reality TV shows such as Sasta Big Boss and Sasta Shark Tank. His videos tackle relatable topics such as exams, office dynamics, and family life, embellished with humorous twists.[6]
Chanchlani made his acting debut in 2016 in the television series "Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya." He was also featured in the ALT Balaji web series "Class of 2017," portraying Ishaan. Chanchlani has appeared in several music videos, including "Mera Baap Mahaan," "The Student Anthem," and "The Lockdown Rap."[7]
