Asewta is a small village of 98.18 hectares in Auraiya Tehsil in Auraiya district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Asewta depends on Seganpur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply which is 15.67% of the total supply, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Asewta's pin code is 206121[4], and village code is 04158400. The area of Asewta is segregated as 76.4 hectares irrigated area. the 2.35 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 3.55 hectare area not available for cultivation.
