Abrar Hasan Khan, known as Asar Malihabadi (1893 – 28 January 1948) was an Indian Urdu poet and writer. Asar was born to an Urdu-speaking Muslim family of Afridi Pathanorigin in Malihabad, British India, in 1893. He received early education in Arabic, Persian, Urdu and English at his home. He studied at St Peter's College Agra and at Tagore's university at Shantiniketan. His great-grandfather, Nawab Hasan khan afridi, Nawab faqeer Muhammad khan 'goya', Muhammad Ahmad Khan, Ameer Ahmad Khan, Basheer Ahmad Khan,Josh Malihabadi were all poets. Another of his relative was the journalist, scholars like Dr Zakir Husssin, Abdur Razzaq Malihabadi .He is very close to Hyderabad royal family and Raja Nanpara.
