Aryan Khan (born November 13, 1997) is an Indian entrepreneur, director, and writer.[1] He is the eldest son of Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan and producer Gauri Khan. Aryan has ventured into the entertainment industry, not as an actor, but as a filmmaker and businessman.[2][3]
Early Life and Education
Aryan Khan was born in New Delhi, India. He has two younger siblings: Suhana Khan and AbRam Khan. He pursued his higher education at the University of Southern California, where he studied filmmaking and writing.
Career
Filmmaking
In 2024, Aryan announced his directorial debut with a Netflix series produced by his mother, Gauri Khan, under Red Chillies Entertainment.[4] The series explores the journey of an outsider in Bollywood and marks Aryan's entry into the world of filmmaking.[5]
Entrepreneurship
In 2022, Aryan co-founded Slab Ventures, a company that launched the luxury collective brand D'yavol. The brand focuses on high-end fashion and lifestyle products, reflecting Aryan's interest in luxury branding and entrepreneurship.[6]
Personal Life
Aryan maintains a relatively private personal life. He is known to be close to his family and often avoids the limelight, focusing instead on his professional pursuits.[7]
Controversies
In 2021, Aryan was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) during a raid on a cruise ship.[8] He was detained for 26 days but was later granted bail due to a lack of substantial evidence. In 2022, he was given a clean chit, clearing him of all charges.[9]
