Artificial Organs is a monthly peer-reviewed journal that focuses on the latest advancements in organ replacement technology in various fields. It features an interdisciplinary selection of research from medical, scientific, and engineering teams around the world.[1]

It was established in 1977 by Drs. Yukihiko Nosé and Paul S. Malchesky, originally edited by Dr. Willem J. Kolff. The current editor-in-chief is Dr. Vakhtang Tchantchaleishvili.[2]

It is currently the official journal for several organizations including International Federation for Artificial Organs (IFAO), the International Society for Mechanical Circulatory Support (ISMCS), the International Functional Electrical Stimulation Society, and more.[3]
