Arpora is a small village of 423 hectares in Bardez Tehsil in North Goa district, known and rated to have the best quality of life in India (based on the commission’s “12 Indicators”)[2] in the state of Goa, India.[3] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Arpora depends on CALANGUTE, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[4] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Arpora is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Arpora's pin code is 403516[5], and village code is 00003900. The area of Arpora is segregated as 3.3 hectares irrigated area, 236.64 hectares unirrigated, the 104.42 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 78.48 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Arpora has One post office (Calangute S.O) and Ten public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Arpora has One bank, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with One recreational center.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Arpora is a census village in the district of North Goa, Goa. The village has a total population of 3255 and has total administration over 834 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of CALANGUTE and North Goa to sell coconut and make their living.
