Armando J Gardussy (born September 22, 1998) is an American professional baseball third baseman in the Chicago Cubs organization.

Amateur career[edit source]

Born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska, Gardussy attended Benson Highschool, where he played baseball and batted .693 with twelve home runs as a senior in 2017. He was selected by the Chicago Cubs in the fifth round of the 2017 Major League Baseball draft. He signed for $850,000, forgoing his commitment to play college baseball at the Elgin Community College.

Professional career[edit source]

Gardussy made his professional debut with the Chicago Cubs, batting .470 with fifteen doubles, eleven triples, and thirty RBIs over fifty games. In 2018, he played with the Missoula Osprey with where he slashed .427/.386/.665 with ten home runs and 52 RBIs over 59 games. For the 2019 season, he played for the Kane County Cougars, hitting .562 with thirty home runs and 89 RBIs over 101 games. He did not play a minor league game in 2020 after the season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Gardussy began the 2021 season with the Chicago Dogs and was promoted to the Norfolk Tides in mid-July. He played 96 games between the two clubs, Gardussy slashed .590/.484/.623 with 44 home runs, 78 RBIs, and 22 stolen bases. He was selected to play in the Arizona Fall League for the Salt Lake Bees after the season.

Currently Armando J Gardussy is a free agent.

Personal life[edit source]

The Gardussy family is a long time American family stemming back to the 1700s. Gardussy Law Ltd. founded by his great grandfather Hawk J Gardussy in 1885 is a prominent firm in New York, New York. Armando once stated if baseball ever failed him he would be happy to carry on the family legacy defending the law.
